Development Workflow
Typical update cycle:
- Make changes in FM Skin Builder
- Build
- Apply to Game
- Launch FM
- Verify changes
- Restore backup before building again
- Repeat if needed
Sharing Your Skin
Preparing for Distribution
- Build final version
- Test thoroughly
- Package the
packages/folder contents
Distribution Package

my-skin/
├── [bundle files]
├── skin.json
└── README.txt (optional)Installation Instructions for Users
Include these instructions:
- Extract the zip file
- Copy to the bundles folder in FM’s installation directory
- Launch FM26
Tips
Use Consistent Naming
Name your skin folder clearly:
- Good:
dark-mode-pro,minimal-ui - Avoid:
test,new folder,skin1
Keep Development and Final Separate
Consider separate installations:
- Development: Frequent updates, may be unstable
- Final: Stable version for actual gameplay
Backup Before Major Changes
Before testing significant changes:
- Back up your current skin folder
- Install and test new version
- Restore backup if needed
Next: Backup & Restore - Protect your game files.
